The European Hydrogen Skills Stakeholder Conference 2026, organised under the Green Skills for Hydrogen initiative, will bring together stakeholders from industry, education and policymaking to address this challenge. Importantly, the entire conference will be live streamed online, enabling participants across Europe — including Latvia — to follow the discussions without travelling.

The event will take place on 19 March 2026, offering a full day of presentations and discussions focused on how Europe can strengthen its hydrogen skills ecosystem.

Hydrogen VET Forum 2026 – hands-on experience in hydrogen mobility

Complementing the online conference, the Hydrogen VET Forum 2026 will offer a specialised learning experience focused on hydrogen mobility technologies.

The forum will take place at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, during the FIA World Endurance Championship, providing participants with exposure to real-world hydrogen technology demonstrations.

The programme will include training on:

  • hydrogen fuel cell powertrains

  • hydrogen combustion engines

  • hydrogen safety protocols

  • hydrogen vehicle engineering and testing

Participants will first complete two online training modules in March 2026, earning a digital certification badge. Selected participants will then attend the in-person learning event in Spa on 8–9 May 2026, combining technical demonstrations, networking and access to the FIA WEC championship environment.

Participation is free, although places are limited and selection will be based on registration and completion of the online modules.
