BalticSeaH2 has received the prestigious European H2 Valley of the Year Award, recognizing its development of Europe's first large-scale cross-border hydrogen valley spanning southern Nordics via Finland and Estonia (Flagship valley) through Baltic and Poland to Germany.

BalticSeaH2 has been recognized with the European H2 Valley of the Year Award for its work developing Europe's first large-scale cross-border hydrogen valley spanning southern Finland and Estonia as a Flagship valley and connecting Nordics with Latvia, Lithuania, Poland to Germany via Connected valley concept.

Project Details:

  • 40 partners from 9 countries

  • 25 demonstration and investment cases

  • Over €400 million in total investments

  • Up to 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen production capacity per year

This recognition reflects the project's comprehensive approach to developing integrated hydrogen ecosystems and highlights the effectiveness of cross-border collaboration in advancing clean energy solutions in the Baltic Sea region.
